Subject of the course content: Grid application development, Grid Architecture. Networking infrastructure, protocols and quality of service. Computing platforms, operating systems and network interfaces. Compilers, languages and libraries for Grid. Grid scheduling, resource management, resource brokers, resource reservation. Instrumentation and Measurement, performance analysis and visualization, safety, "bookkeeping" and security. Globus Tool: system core and appropriate tools such as Message Passing Interface communication library, remote I/O, communication library. Legion and appropriate software. Condor and Grid systems. Open Grid Service Architecture and Data Grid. Development of Grid portal. Types of applications: geographically distributed, high bandwidth, "on demand", collaborative and data-intensive supercomputing, supercomputing management , real-time access to distributed instrumentation systems.
Cloud computing: architecture, connecting possible server platforms and mass calculations. Standards in Cloud Computing. Open applications for cloud computing. Private cloud. Network cloud. Archiving cloud. Managing cloud. Applying Cloud in data center. Saving energy and "green" data center and applications.
