Course Goals (acquired competencies): Upon completing the course, the student is expected to know the basic research principles and research methods, and to be able to write a scientific research work and master's work, as well as to make a presentation and poster using LaTex.
Course Syllabus: Process of searching known results in the field of research and selection of required data. Research methods. Structuring scientific research work and master's work. Ethical rules, rules for quoting and referencing. Introduction to LaTex. Using LaTex to write a scientific research paper and a master's thesis, choosing the appropriate style of writing. Text input and mathematical formulas. Defining environments and tables. Text editing. Including bibliography, content, and index. Using JobRef. Adding images and creating them with TikZ i Metapost. Making presentations and posters for the obtained scientific research results. Using beamer.
