Course Goals (acquired competencies): Knowledge on the computer-based measurement systems, characteristics and architectures. Understanding the data acquisition hardware characteristics. Understand the process to design, implement, document, and test key virtual instrumentation.
Course Syllabus: Introduction to computer-based measurement systems. Development of hierarchical, scalable, readable, and maintainable virtual instrumentation. Reduction of development time and improvement of application stability. Advanced programming architectures and synchronization. Multithreading and multitasking concepts in computer-based measurement systems. Telemetry and data transmission. Communication standards and instrumentation drivers.
