Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquiring knowledge of development and sustainability of measurement physical parameters in measurement systems. Interfacing smart sensors with data acquisition measurement systems.
Course Syllabus: Introduction in measurement sensor systems. Measurement characteristics of the sensor systems. Static and Dynamic characteristics. Types of measurement sensors. Description of different types of sensors and transducers. Silicon sensors. Interfacing. Linearization. Smart sensors, standards and protocols. Calibration and self-calibration of sensors and transducers.
