Course Goals (acquired competencies): By successfully completing this course, the candidate will acquire competences for: condition assessment of electrical machines and transformers; analysis of the testing results; working with on-line monitoring systems.
Course Syllabus: Methods for diagnostics and condition assessment of electrical machines and transformers. Determination of specific electrical, insulation, vibration, acoustic and geometric parameters. Thermovision tests. Criteria for diagnostics based on the characteristic parameters. Monitoring systems for electrical machines and transformers in real time. The concept of monitoring system for electrical machines. Concept of architecture for monitoring system of electrical machines. Equipment and sensors. Monitoring system for power transformers. Determination of parameters for real-time monitoring. Structure of monitoring system for transformers. Microprocessor system for monitoring the condition of transformers - equipment and connectivity.
