Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquiring knowledge of different types of IoT devices. Techniques for designing smart IoT devices, and application of smart IoT devices.
Course Syllabus: Analysis of trends and abilities for innovations in hardware design for IoT applications. Scalabile architecture of IoT applications. Basic sub-systems in a system on chip purposed for IoT: digital circuits with low power dissipation, circuits for hardware security and authentication, low- and zero-leakage memories, short range radio, miniature batteries with extended lifetime, etc. Techniques for designing systems purposed to operate in IoT environment. Smart IoT devices. Application of IoT smart devices in different areas: Internet of people, Internet of cars, Internet of media etc.
