Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquiring adequate knowledge about the impact of energy consumption on the environment, as well as measures for improving energy efficiency and ensuring a sustainable future. Capable of promoting energy efficiency and securing a sustainable future.

Subject of the course content:

The World Energy Scene – History.  World energy consumption.  Finite resources .

The Environmental Impact of Energy Use - The problem.

Regulation and energy policy - The Kyoto protocol, program 20-20-20, National Strategy for energy efficiency and sustainable development.

Sustainable development – Greenhouse effects mitigation, Features of Renewable Generation, Energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency and electrical energy.
