Subject of the course content: Real-time application examples, DSP family examples, general selection rules. Detailed architecture of selected DSP’s (TMS320C55xx, MC56800E, C2000). Instruction set, Development environments (Code Composer Studio, Code Warrior, Processor Expert). Fixed-point arithmetic DSP specifics. Peripherals overview. Libraries and optimization for real-time operation (DSP/BIOS RT Kernel, uC/OS-II). Project according to special interest: audio processing, image processing, video processing or computationally intensive control algorithms (navigation, renewable energy sources optimization, industrial processes…)
