Subject of the course content: Analysis of telecommunication traffic: mobile traffic, Internet traffic, heterogeneous traffic. Telecommunication networks modeling. Modeling of protocols, applications and services in telecommunication networks. Telecommunication networks topologies. Flow control and routing. Admission control and resource allocation in access networks and core networks. Performances of network nodes (routers, switches) and network access techniques. Design of networks for telecom operators. Design of wireless mobile networks with given performances (WLAN, WiMAX, 3G, 4G). Design of networks for real-time Internet services. Techniques for Quality of Services (QoS) improvements. QoS analysis in telecommunication networks.
