Subject of the course content: z-transform (definition, convergence, properties, inverse transform) Discrete–time systems. Transfer function. Frequency response. Discrete –time systems with random input. Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT): definition, properties, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), FFT algorithm. Convolutions by FFT: liner convolution, circular convolution, relation between them, filtering with FFT, implementing LTI systems using DFT (“Convolution of long sequences”). Fourier analysis of signals using DFT- Spectral analysis: spectrum of finite-length and infinite-length sequences, effects of spectral sampling on discrete signal and continuous signal. Digital Filter design techniques: classification of filters, FIR filter design methods, IIR filter design methods.
