Course goals/Competences: Knowledge of basic analog integrated circuits and systems, principles of operation, applications, as well as methos of analysis for design. Application of analog design methods for modeling and solving engineering problems.

Curriculum: Operational amplifier (OPAMP) architecture. OPAMP internal biasing, input stage, main amplifier stage, output stage. OPAMP characteristics. Examples of bipolar and unipolar OPAMPs. Small signal analysis and frequency characteristics. CMOS and BiCMOS OPAMP and various configurations. Voltage controlled oscilators and amplifiers. Wideband integrated amplifiers. OPAMP aplications (comparators, impedance transformers, logarithmic and antilogarithmic amplifiers). Active filters. Switched capacitor circuits. Nonlinear analog circuits, analog multiipliers, PLL. Noise in IC amplifiers.
