Course goals/Competences: Introduction to the basic methods for construction of elementary antennas and complex antenna systems. Introducing procedures for solving several practical problems related to the exploаtation of the antennas.

Total available number of classes: 180

Curriculum: Overview of fundamental properties of the antennas. Elementary structures of linear antennas, electrically extended antenna, V-antenna, folded dipole. Adaptation of the power supply to the antenna. Uniform and non-uniform antenna arrays. Elements of synthesis of antenna arrays. Antennas with extended range and antennas for two frequencies. Wideband antennas. Antennas for microwave range, Slot antenna, antennas with slow and fast traveling waves. Horn antenna, antenna with reflector and lens. Micro-strip antennas. Review of the theory of cylindrical antenna.
