Course goals/Competences: The student will learn about the types of antennas used in modern telecommunication systems, such as base stations and mobile devices.

Curriculum: Applied antennas for base stations: CDMA, GSM, WCDMA. Antennas for WLAN (WiFi) applications. Antennas for WiMAX based stations. Advanced antennas for radio base stations. Antennas for radar applications. Antennas for handheld user devices. RFID Tag antennas. Antennas for laptops. Multiband antennas. Antennas for BAN (Body Area Networks) and PAN (Personal Area Networks). UWB (Ultra Wide Band) antennas.
