Course goals/Competences: Obtaining expert's knowledge for cogeneration plants technologies and ability for technical and economic analysis of the applicable cogeneration systems.

Curriculum: Definition of quality products and services in the field of power engineering. Quality as project's parameter. Business aspects of quality. Deming PDCA cycle and its application. Planning, ensuring and quality control. Quality Management Models: TQM, Six Sigma, ZDM. Statistical quality control. Tools and concepts for providing quality international standards (ISO), basic principles, structure and application. Regulation in the EU and the Republic of Macedonia in the field of power engineering. Comparative analyses. Acts of liberalization of the electricity market. Grid Code. Energy Law in the Republic of Macedonia. IEEE and IEC standards in the field of electricity. Providing quality and reliable operation of power system. Regulation for design, review and supervision of power facilities in the Republic of Macedonia.
