Course goals/Competences: Competence to prepared design projects for electric power devices (transformers, motors, generators) with modern software tools.

Curriculum: Basic principles for design and construction of electric machines and transformers. Algorithms for Design. Determination of basic constructive dimensions of motors, generators and transformers. Calculation of magnetic and electric system. Thermal schemes and calculation of specific heat. Design using computer applications. Using optimization methods in the design process. Application of the design standards.
