Course goals/Competences: Introduction to the fundamentals of the theory of linear discrete automatic control systems and gaining knowledge for analysis and design of this type of systems.

Total available number of classes: 180

Curriculum: Introduction: Discrete and discrete-continuous automatic control systems and their applications. Outline of the operations of data sampling, quantization, and signal reconstruction, from the automatic control systems viewpoint. Analysis of discrete automatic control systems: mathematical apparatus for analysis and design of discrete linear dynamical automatic control systems – Z Transform. Transfer functions of discrete linear dynamical automatic control systems. Structural block-diagrams and block-diagrams algebra of discrete linear dynamical automatic control systems. Time and frequency response of linear discrete automatic control systems. Stability of linear discrete automatic control systems: Z-complex plain and the problem of stability. Algebraic and frequency stability criteria. Design of linear discrete automatic control systems.
