Course goals/Competences: The course goal is to assist the students in getting the practical technical and professional competence for solving concrete engineering problems in the field of digital control of electrical machines and related industry application
Total available number of classes: 180
Curriculum: Analysis and Synthesis of digital DC Drive System in cascade regulation. Calculation of digital speed and position controller parameters on the basis of pseudo frequency, modulus and symmetrical optimization method. Software realization of digital speed and position (PID) controller using direct realization of recursive algorithm and Z-transformation.
Basics of digital control of Induction machine (IM). Dynamical models of IM and Voltage source inverter in different frame of reference. Fundamentals of scalar control, field oriented vector control and direct self-torque control of IM. Digital based model of pulse-width-modulated (PWM) inverter. Fundamentals of Space vector modulation technique (SVMT)
