Course goals/Competences: Basic knowledge in the field of power networks. Elements of the networks and their equivalent schemes. Methods for solving and design of radial and meshed complex networks.

Curriculum: Scope. Role of the networks. Classification of the networks and their topologies. Elements of networks and their equivalent schemes. Loads. Transformation of electric values. Use of per unit calculations. Solving radial and meshed networks. Classic and matrix procedures for their evaluation. Dimensioning the networks. Volt and vat regulation. Power and energy losses. Cost-benefit analyses.
