Electromagnetics
Course title: Electromagnetics
Code: FEIT05Z002
Number of credits (ECTS): 6
Weekly number of classes: 3+2+0+0
Prerequisite for enrollment of the subject:
Course goals/Competences: Introduction to fundamental terms for electrical, stationary current, stationary and quasi-stationary magnetic field, the laws that apply to them, ways for connection with the concept of electric circuit as form presentation of the phenomena. Introduction to general equations for electromagnetic field, ability of defining the main problems related to the calculation of electric and magnetic field, and their analysis, using of calculation methods, analyzing results, and making appropriate conclusions.
Total available number of classes: 180
Curriculum: Fundamentals relations of electrostatic field in vacuum and dielectric, their integral and differential form. Electric scalar potential, capacitance and partial capacitances of the system of bodies. Boundary conditions in the electrostatic field, methods of analysis and computer simulation of the electrostatic field. Stationary current field, electrical resistance, resistance of grounding systems, complex grounding systems. Integral and differential form for the relations form in stationary magnetic field in a vacuum, stationary magnetic field in the material and boundary conditions. Magnetic circuit, magnetic vector potential, and calculation methods, computer simulation of the magnetic field. Quasi-stationary magnetic field, coefficients of electromagnetic induction, energy and force in a magnetic field. General equations of macroscopic electromagnetic field in static environments.
