Prerequisite for enrollment of the subject:

Course goals/Competences: Getting understanding of the internal structure and parameters of basic digital and pulse electronic circuits. Capabilities for analysis and design of circuits in pulse and digital electronics, used in computer, automation and telecommunication engineering.

Total available number of classes: 180

Curriculum: Introduction. Real parameters of logic gates. Basic characteristics of logic families: RTL, DTL, TTL, ECL, CMOS. Bipolar logic technology: TTL family, open collector, wired-OR, three-state logic, ECL family, interconnection between TTL and ECL. Unipolar logic technology: CMOS and NMOS logic gates. Schmitt trigger. Flip-flops: asynchronous with static and dynamic inputs, synchronous, pulse-triggered and edge-triggered. Bistable and monostable and astable multyvibrators. Timers. Fixator circuits. Peak voltage detectros. Sawtooth voltage generators. Design of function generators.
