Course goals/Competences: To understand and to adequately describe the principles of electrothermal conversion, the electric process heating technologies, construction and characteristics of heating furnaces and electrothermal devices. Competence for adequate choice of electrothermal process and device.

Curriculum: Electrothermal energy conversion. Heat transfer. Temperature measuremnets and regulation. Direct resistance heating. Indirect resistance heating. Induction heating.  High frequent dielectric heating. Electrical arc heating. Plasma heating. Electron beam heating.
