Course goals/Competences: Proficiency in using software tools for analysis and design of components and systems in the electric power system.
Total available number of classes: 180
Curriculum: Principles and methods for solving engineering problems using a PC. Two-dimensional drawing and three-dimensional numerical modeling methods to solve electromagnetic and thermal fields. Fundamentals of the finite element method. Procedure for solving problems with FEM. Modern software tools. ANSYS - programming package. Modeling, simulation and analysis of dynamic systems. Simulink library. Working with blocks, signals and data. Procedure for the preparation of simulation models. Work with Module Power System Blockset practical simulation in the field of electric power system.
