Course goals/Competences: Getting students acquainted with the basic methods for measuring the electrical and non-electrical sizes. Introduction to the principles of analogue and digital measuring instruments.

Total available number of classes: 180

Curriculum: Basic concepts and definitions in the measurement techniques. Static and dynamic characteristics of measurement devices. Fundamentals of uncertainty, errors in indirect measurements. Basic characteristics of analog and digital measuring instruments. Senses and converters. Classification of measurement senses. Introducing resistors, inductive and capacitive senses to measure various physical quantities. Adjusting the measurement signals and basic configurations of measuring circuits.
