Course goals/Competences: Student will gain knowledge related with grid integration of different renewable power sources and the mutual influence of the grid and the different sources regarding the power quality, reliability and sustainability of the system.

Total available number of classes: 180

Curriculum: Conditions for grid connection of renewable energy sources (RES). Mutual influence of the grid and the renewable energy sources. Power converters for grid connection with RES and their performance. Resonant effects on the grid during standard performance of RES. Control characteristics and supervision of different types of RES while they are connected on the grid.
