Course goals/Competences: Students will gain basic knowledge of low voltage electrical installations and lighting of residential, offices, industrial and public buildings.

Total available number of classes: 180

Curriculum: Electrical wire and power cables.  Electrical installation equipment and systems. Protection against electric shock under normal conditions. Protection against electric shock under fault conditions. Cable sizing. Lightning protection of buildings.  Types of electrical installation projects.  Software aided design of electrical installations. Project management.   Lighting computations.  Lamps. Software tools for lighting calculations.  Intelligent building systems.
