Course goals/Competences: Ability to design and develop systems for measurement and data acquisition

Curriculum: Introduction in data acquisition systems, architecture of systems for data acquisition, measurement systems based on microprocessor. Data processing and transmission, one way and differential signals. Data processing, galvanic isolation, voltage and current loops. A/D conversion, characteristics of A/D convertor, time/digital conversion. Sources of errors in data acquisition systems, electromagnetic obstacles, high voltage and transients.
