Course goals/Competences: Introduction to the technologies used in public mobile networks (GSM, GPRS, UMTS). Ability to program mobile phones and devices.

Curriculum:  Understanding standards and protocols used in public mobile networks (GSM, HSCDS, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS). Programming handsets and devices with Java 2, Micro Edition. Using the operating systems for mobile phones (Symbian OS, Mobile Linux, and Android).
