Course goals/Competences: Obtaining expert's knowledge for the principals and methods of the Power system regulation, analysis and dynamics of the interconnections.

Curriculum: Components of the interconnected power systems. Power system characteristics in control. Technical and technological basics for regulation and control in power system. Regulation of the active power and frequency. Automatic Generation Control (AGC). Voltage regulation. Interconnections and their characteristics. Interconnected power system facilities in R. Macedonia. Control and regulation functions. Measures for power system breakdown. Automatic frequency un-loading. Scenario for power system recovery. Islanded and power system operation of the power plants. Synchronization.
