Course goals/Competences: The goal of this course is to introduce the students with the principle of work of the Programmable Logi Controllers. After concluding this course the students will be able to design programs in lader logic and to calculate all the necessary capacities for implementation of a PLC project (both hardware and software).

Curriculum: Programmable controllers as a part of computer controlled systems. Construction, structure and operation of PLC. Connecting input-output modules to PLC. Connecting analog modules to PLC. Ladder logic programming. PLCs as a part of hierarchical controlled systems. Practical use of PLC controllers in systems. Control of bottle production line with PLC.
