Course goals/Competences: The course goal is to assist the students in getting the practical technical and professional competence for solving concrete engineering problems in the field of Project Design of Renewable Energy Source (RES) based system and related power application

Curriculum: Technical and technological analysis and fundamentals in Project design of Renewable Energy Source (RES) based system. Project plausibility assessment and simulation of different RES based Systems (Solar-thermal, photo voltaic PV, wind, small hydro power and bio mass), Indicative assessment of investment expenditures (Capex, Opex, O&M, Revenue), Due Diligence and plausibility calculation based on Discounted Cash flow analysis. Sensitivity project analysis using different internal rates of return.
