Course goals/Competences: Analysis and design of WAN computer networks. Implementation of WAN networks and performance optimization. Distributed system design and performance estimation.

Curriculum:  Detailed view of the upper layers in a network architecture and their design. Illustrating concepts by using important network architectures such as TCP/IP. Overview and concepts of distributed systems. Protocols and Standards.
