Course Goals (acquired competencies): Obtaining knowledge for the basic methods in measurement of electrical and non-electrical quanitites. Introduction of the basic operational principles of analog and digital instruments.

Course Syllabus: Basic terms and definitions in measurement technique. Static and dynamical characteristics of measurement devices. Basics of measurement uncertainty, measurement errors in indirect measurement. Basic characteristics of analog and digital instruments. Sensors and transducers. Measurement sensor classification. Resistive, capacitive and inductive sensors. Signal conditioning and basic configurations in measurement circuits.
