Course Goals (acquired competencies): To adopt the basic concepts of complex analysis with particular reference to complex algebra and functions, analytic function, Cauchy theorem, residues, Taylor and Laurent series and their application.

Course Syllabus: Complex numbers. Algebra of complex number. Sets in a complex plane. Functions of a complex variable. Analytic functions.  Cauchy-Riemann equations. Application in oscillating systems. Line integral of a complex function.  Taylor and Laurent series, zeros and singularities.  Residues. Application on solving real integrals.
