Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquire basic knowledge about components (reference, measuring, comparative, executive, amplifier) which are used in systems for automatic control of electric drives. Understanding and using the elements that is apply in electric drives.

Course Syllabus: Introduction. Components of controlled electric drives (reference, measuring, comparative, converter, A/D, D/A, executive). Magnetic amplifiers, semiconductor amplifiers, power semiconductor components, control circuits for converters and choppers, frequency-voltage converters topology, different types of PWM control). Microprocessor control of electric drives (basic configuration, аpplying DSP).
