Course Goals (acquired competencies): Introducing students to the basic laws and methods of the electric circuits theory. The student will get knowledge about methods and techniques for electric circuit analysis.

Course Syllabus: First and second order circuits (RC, RL and RLC). Transient response and steady-state analysis. Sinusoidal steady-state analysis. Phasors. Phasor relationship for circuit elements. Complex numbers (frequency domain). Impedance and admittance. Kirchoff’s laws, and nodal/mesh analysis in frequency domain. AC power analysis. Magnetically coupled circuits. Three-phase circuits. Transfer function. Serial and parallel resonance. Passive filters. Two-port networks.
