Course Goals (acquired competencies): Understanding the field of ICT as an ecosystem where technology, economy and users are deeply intertwined. Analysis of interactions among all relevant actors in an ICT ecosystem. Development of ICT services and devices that fulfill user needs and allow development of successful business models.

Course Syllabus: Description of the ICT domain as an ecosystem. Analysis of interactions among technology, economy and users. Terminology. User needs and user behavior and their correlation to ICT services. Eudemony. Influence of network quality on services and applications usability. Quality of Experience (QoE). Basic economic concepts behind ICT providers. Price organization of network services and network infrastructures. Social systems and their role. Application and network models. Combination of different domains with analytical modeling of an ecosystem.
