Course Goals (acquired competencies): The course is designed to provide knowledge for development of data acquisition measurement systems.

Course Syllabus: Introduction in data acquisition measurement systems, architecture of data acquisition measurement systems, basics of measurement systems based on microprocessors. Signal conditioning and data transmission, single-ended and differential-ended signals. Amplification. Filtering. Galvanic isolation. AD conversion. Characteristics of AD converters. Sources of noise in data acquisition measurement systems, capacitive coupling, electromagnetic distortion, surge and transients.
