Course Goals (acquired competencies): Introduction to the theory and practice of modeling, simulation and identification of dynamic systems. Acquiring skills for solving a broad class of problems in the field of modeling, simulation and identification of dynamic systems by applying the conventional approach, regardless of the system nature. Ability to use software packages for their simulation and identification.

Course Syllabus: Modeling: introduction, types of models, mathematical models. Black box models. Representation in time domain. Representation in frequency domain: frequency transfer function, spektral analysis. Identification. Identification in frequency domain. Parameter identification. Least square error method. Reccurent parameter models. Identification in practice. Model structure. MATLAB software and its toolboxes for system modeling, simulation and identification. Control systems analysis with MATEMATICA. Numerical solution of differential equations. Applications.
