Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquiring knowledge and skills for successful realization of operations as an important part of the production process, their improvement and creation of added value. Acquiring knowledge for understanding the financial aspects of the operational and bussines processes, the financial environment and the methods for financial analysis.

Course Syllabus: Challenges in Operational and Financial Management. Value chains.System approach in process analysis. Decisions making in terms of risk and uncertainty. Control and tools for managing the processes. Change management. Toyota's production system. Just in Time inventory management system. Predicting systems. Analysis of time series. Delphi and Scenario Method. Planning of resources - ERP systems. Basic functions and principles of financial management and their engineering application. Diversification of financial risk, Portfolio approach. Projections of Cash Flow. Criteria for accepting technical projects as an investment. Sensitivity analysis.
